Mario Andretti

Auto Racing Legend

His name gracing the SPEED Performer of the Year trophy sculpted by bronze artist Elie Hazak, Andretti is arguably the most recognizable name in American motor sports. He is one of only two drivers to win races in Formula One, IndyCar, World Sportscar Championship and NASCAR (the other being Dan Gurney). He also won races in midget cars, sprint cars and drag racing. He is the only person to be Named U.S. Driver of the Year in three decades (1967, 1978 and 1984).

Tommy Kendall

The host of the annual SPEED Performance Awards television special, Kendall was the IMSA GTU champion from 1986-88 and the IMSA Triple Crown champion in 1991, IMSA GTS champion in 1993 and the Daytona 24 Hours GTS winner in 1993 and '95. The SCCA Trans Am champion in 1990, 1995-9, Kendall was a six-time IROC invitee and, in 1997, was named Racer Magazine Racer of the Year and Road Racer of the Year.
Dorsey Schroeder

Schroeder has more than 30 years of racing experience, having competed in Trans Am, IMSA, IROC, ALMS the NASCAR Winston Cup Series, the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and the famed 24 Hours of Le Mans. He earned Rookie-of-the-Year awards in the Trans Am and IMSA GTO series in 1989 and 1990 respectively and is fifth all-time in wins for the Trans Am series with 17.
Robin Miller

Robin Miller became an Indy-car junkie in late 1950s, buying a Formula Ford from Andy Granatelli in 1972 and racing it in SCCA until 1974 when he purchased a midget from Gary Bettenhausen, competing in the USAC midget series from 1975-82. Miller covered motor sports for the Indianapolis Star from 1969-2000 before coming to work for SPEED. In addition to his broadcast work, Miller's also covered IndyCar racing for Autoweek, Autosport, Car & Driver and On Track magazines over the past 35 years.
Tom Jensen

The Editor-in-Chief of SPEED.com, Jensen also is Senior NASCAR Editor at RACER and a contributing Editor for TruckSeries.com.
